Safe Ride
As most of you fellow UNE students are well aware, I like to take Bella with me when I drive around doing safe ride. For those of you who are unaware of what safe ride is, it is a that is service provided to members of the University of New England community as a safe and free alternative to walking alone after dark. These service’s are generally staffed by a Security officer, or in my case, a student employee. Our Job is to enhance the safety on Campus while giving the Students who are Night Owls, who are studying all night, a better way to go to their dorm. The administrators of this are dedicated to enhancing campus safety.
In my position, I see it as a great way to improve my relationship with the students, while giving Bella the opportunity to give those students who are stressing about classes, who have gotten overwhelmed, and even who have similar ailments to me a way to get the experience that she gives me. The happiness that she gives me, and way of lifting the stress I have is now being given to other students. They are getting the help I am, without having to actually Own her. The best part about having her come with me is that when all the students have started to wind down, she curls up on the back seat and takes a nap until the next student comes in. When another student would enter she would be awake in an instant and ready to go up say hello, and make sure that they leave Safe ride happy.
By having her come with me and making everyone happy that is the best feeling in the world. The Security officers love her, they love what she is doing for the students, and love how much people are taking Safe ride just to see her. She really makes and helps improve other students. That is what she is for. Helping people. And that helps make me feel better.
By the way this is Bella leaning on my Leg making me feel more comfortable while driving.
